Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head ZEAL Athletic Development Coach to lead our team. This position requires strong managerial skills alongside athletic training expertise. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in youth athletic development, excellent communication abilities, and the capability to manage staff and operational aspects.

As a leader in our ZEAL program, you will oversee daily operations including scheduling, member communication, program implementation, and staff supervision. You will design and lead athletic training sessions while ensuring each athlete receives personalized coaching and support. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in promoting our program's growth and community impact.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily operations of the ZEAL program, including scheduling classes, coordinating with members, and ensuring facility/equipment maintenance.

• Oversee a team of coaches, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality coaching and program delivery.

• Design and implement comprehensive athletic training programs focused on holistic youth development and athletic growth.

• Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and staff to ensure clear understanding of program goals, schedules, and expectations.

• Evaluate athletes’ progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development.

• Support community involvement initiatives and events to enhance program visibility and engagement.

• Contribute to strategic planning for program expansion and development opportunities, including potential franchising.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in coaching and managing youth athletic development programs, with a strong understanding of training principles and techniques.

• Excellent leadership, organizational, and time-management skills.

• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with children, adolescents, parents, and staff.

• Strong commitment to creating a positive, inclusive, and motivating environment for athletes and staff.

• Reliable, punctual, and dedicated with a strong work ethic.

Required Certificates:

• Youth Fitness Certification: Information and registration available at International Youth Conditioning Association (IYCA).

• Personal Trainer Certification: Information and registration available at American Council on Exercise (ACE) or National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).

• CPR and First Aid Certification: Courses can be taken through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.

• Completion of the Rutgers S.A.F.E.T.Y. Clinic (Sports Awareness for Educating Today's Youth™) Certification Information.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Teaching experience or background in youth sports education.

• Experience with athletic training or sports performance coaching.

• Bachelor’s degree in Sports Science, Physical Education, or a related field.

• Interest in business development
